We had a great time!! i had never seen Andrew Vait and his band. I loved the music. Fun, honest…and he just plain gave it to us. He playerd guitar and sang on this one. In the past I played with him in Big World Breaks and he played saxophone and flute. That guy. Black Cherry Crush was a surprise to me. I loved the energy A LOT. The surprise was I know Fysah as a soul singer. Bold, beautiful voice. Black Cherry Crush is a rock band!! I WANT A ROCK BAND!!!! (envy) People please go out and see them. What a treat. Great original music party band. I finished up the night with a cast of characters that had never played together before. Austin Manaway(drums) and Rufus Yarbrough(bass) are part of Taberancle’s power house band “Heart Of David” that Dwight Donyea Goodman leads. Shawna Locey and my vocal coach Mary Beth Felker did backing vocals. It was really their first time playing through the show from start to finish. We did good. I had fun. We got in the zone and people loved it. I look forward to developing the show with these guys more. Maybe we could get David Vaughn or Kimball on keys so I can sing more. I hope to get them to play the next Triple Door blowout soul show March 25. Look out!!!!

Our honorable guest Thornell Jones flew up from LA to be with us at this show and said the band was good with next show potential to be great. I wholeheartedly agree…..
